That’s when Steve and Jasmine, fuelled by some critical thinking (and maybe a cerveza or two), sparked the idea for Discover Montefrío — a digital hub created by locals who’ve been there and done that. Whether you’re just passing through or settling in for good, we hope this space helps you feel informed, inspired, and connected to everything this corner of Spain has to offer.

The Brits
Steve & Debbie
Hailing from Suffolk in the UK, Steve & Debbie followed their dream of owning a rural Spanish property — and they found it just in Montefrío. Their stunning farm, with two homes nestled among olive groves, is being lovingly transformed, with plans to open a charming B&B (coming soon!). Steve is known around town for his beautiful bagpipe serenades that echo through the hills, while Debbie brings colour and warmth wherever she goes — a fashionista with a big laugh, a sharp wit, and always up for tapas and a good yarn. Together, they bring a sense of heart, humour, and heritage to the Discover Montefrío crew.
The Aussies
Jasmine & Andrew
Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Jasmine & Andrew swapped city life for the slow, sun-drenched rhythm of Montefrío. With backgrounds in design and coaching, they’ve always had a love for connection, culture, and community. Since arriving, they’ve thrown themselves into local life — exploring nearby towns, learning Spanish the hard (but hilarious) way, and finding joy in simple things like sunset walks, slow dinners, and meaningful conversation. Always curious and community-minded, they wanted to create a space that would make others feel at home here, too — whether for a weekend or a lifetime.
